I like to listen to an album as a whole, not one song at a time. Whether not most people under 24 don't buy albums anymore (pretty unlikely anyway if you ask me), surely the Pumpkins have a lot of fans OVER 24... or do they not care about the old fans now?
And I guess they might release them all on a CD every 12 songs or so. But will it even feel like an album if all the songs are recorded at different times? And as someone already said, if this is the case, it's for extra profit, not any artistic reason.
I have no intention of paying to download an MP3, but I'll happily pay for an album on CD. Either way, I'll be getting new Pumpkins songs... |

| News - Jimmy Chamberlin Leaves The Band | N/A | I'm very, very disappointed that Jimmy has left and it does make me worry about the future of The Smashing Pumpkins -- I can't really argue with anyone who says it isn't really the Pumpkins anymore with only one remaining member... and I worry what Billy will put out left to his own devices... that said, I'll wait and see, no point judging before anything happens... hopefully Billy will continue to put out good music under the Pumpkins name... and I wish Jimmy all the best with whatever he does now. |
