I hear a little bit of Billy in your vocals... made me smile, as I remember cutting my teeth as a musician on Pumpkins material to such a degree that I had to spend the next decade reminding myself to sing like "me"...

You're right, to me it's a bad/good thing having that voice, cause I ve always sung like that even before knowing smashing! and this was another reason I like them so much. anyway you're right again, my cover doesnt' try to be the next big cover song....I recorded it thinkin billy tryin to do his early demos in his room...I'm a muscian and I would have tried to do something original but I'm a fan too and to be honest I don't like when someone "touch" too much my favourite songs, I heard in the past horrible things for my ears ahaha...so I wanted to do a simple tribute with this sweet gentle song, It's just there it doesn't need to be changed
