TOPIC: Billy Corgan interview (March 4, 2012)

Billy Corgan interview (March 4, 2012) 1 year 2 months ago #110160

I will stop posting these cos I do not want to assault the forum with a bunch of separate topics. I thought about starting an "Interviews" thread but that might be redundant?

Anyway, just posted on Youtube yesterday.

Bob Stern Interviews Billy Corgan from Smashing Pumpkins (March 2012)

Anybody who has the patience to sit through 35 minutes of his ramblings care to post a summary of what he said?

No patience to sit through, but someone did. Nothing interesting, really.

This one was pretty boring. The Matt Pinfield one was much better. Buck up and listen to that one, it's worth it

-Said two of his bandmates in the original Smashing Pumpkins weren’t great musicians.

hahahahahaha this again? Can we please just let it go?

I don't listen to interviews, I get what I need to know about a person from the best source, their actions 8-) .

I wish Billy and James could just shake hand, let this rest in peace, and go on. But both of them are just to stubborn to make the first move.

Speaking of Axl, have you seen some of his recent performances? Just shameful, forgetting tons of lyrics and he doesn't even care. He was a good singer at one point. Jon Bon Jovi always sucked though.

I stay away from Axl as far as it gets ;)
Back in the GnR days (you know, before Zeitgeist Chinese Democracy) I've always thought that Slash brought in the music and all the good ideas and Axl only had his ego to offer.

Dude's walking around with tons of plastic surgery, braided hair and a raincoat and still showing up super late to concerts. :dead

There's a big difference between Axle Rose and Billy Corgan, one sucks and the other is loaded with talent. I would pay good money to go to a show where it's just Billy and an Acoustic Guitar, you would have to pay me to go to any Guns And Roses show. Woah, woah, woah!

Billy and the acostic guitar would easily be the best show of my life.
That's exactly what he should be doing.
Just skip the pretentious shitload SP is in and play the songs.
(I'm serious, not kidding).

In all honestly I think Billy should stay as the soul survivor of Smashing Pumpkins, I just think there are many things he should do different. I think he should record all the Unrecorded Zwan Material, all the Future Embrace Material, all of the Unrecorded Resicency Songs, all of the Unrecorded 20th Anniversary Tour songs, and all of the Unrecorded Smashing Pumpkins song and release them for free on the internet as FLACs and High Quality MP3s that would make Billy very popular because everyone likes good music for free. I also the Billy and Smashing Pumpkins should get over there funk and start playing all of these song live.

Well to Axls credit he DID have quite a few good ideas on the Use Your Illusions.
