Dear Beautiful Souls,

Happy New Year to you!

May 2007 prove to be a blessed year in every respect and every way...
I send you every ounce of love I have in my heart...
May the grace of Mother be with you...

This year for us will see a new album of songs, a world tour of tears, and we truly look forward to playing again for fans young, old, and missed...

So yes, tunes are being dusted off, while others are being asked to kindly submit to an upstart millennia and all its asking...

In our daily prayers, we send out the signal that all who should hear us come forward and be seen, and by extension, heard...when we opened the lid on this music box, we were pleasantly suprised at the music that played: familiar yet unknown, welcoming but not sentimental...and that is all we can ask...

God has absolutely blessed us in every respect...for many years there were private laments about opportunities missed and hearts so broken, but no more...we have turned the page and moved on, from places and faces, names and games...this age calls for resolve and certitude, and the fire within to burn ever bright...if that fire should be connected to absolutely deafening guitars, thundering drums, and the melodies of snakes then so be it!

We love you! If you are meant to be with us, find us!!
We have need and our arms are ever-open...although I can say definitively we don't need jugglers...but we do need ???? (what?)

francis	billy corgan has the greatest voice even compareed to rush's lead singer,writes the most prolific lyrics is a produces as good as flood or vig his guitar work is underestimated but the truth he is one of a kind a living legend....yes?

I don't think it's cryptic at all. sounds to me like he's just excited to have arrived where they have arrived, and just as anxious about this new album as we all are. lots of religious overtones there (not that there's anything wrong with that....and not that it comes as a surprise to anybody who has kept up with Billy since SP disbanded....) I have no doubt the music is going to be great.....the biggest unknown for me is what the lineup will be....and he didn't really even hint at that in his post....wouldn't it be ironic if it was Billy, Jimmy, and D'Arcy? we have an album with no Jimmy....and an album with no D'Arcy.....but none yet with no James.....time will tell!

I'm sure Billy is doing it on purpose, not saying much about the album or the line-up. He's just messing with us more I'm sure.
And I agree the religious overtones didn't really surprise me too much.

i agree he does sound happy... but he was happy doing the zwan album which wasnt that great imo. and how exactly are the new pumpkins going to be any different from zwan? you had billy and jimmy + others, so since james and darcy are out of the picture won't you have the same thing with the exception of reusing the smashing pumpkins name?

right...obviously. but she hit the road right after the recording was done, was never a part of any of the tour, the videos for the singles, etc. to me, she was gone after adore ran its course. I was just making the point that they've gone through a phase without jimmy and one without her, and it'd be ironic if this phase was sans james.

Heh heh, yeah I remember that period, and that blog post. It was super-cool because the new album was being released on my birthday

I would say my enthusiasm is tempered a bit compared to back then though. That whole initial Teargarden farce was really disappointing, but I agree, Oceania indeed feels like Bolly hit a nice little groove again, so I think whatever comes next won't be too bad. In all honesty though, right now I'm more excited about those reissues than anything else.
