Remember that Sunky's article is mostly editorial opinion and he is just trying to give us an idea of what to expect from the board.

I think the community is overestimating the level of moderation on the board. Of course threads titled "BOLLY CORGAN SUXXX!!!" will most likely be removed / hidden as what good does a thread like that do for the band? Intentionally hurtful messages will most likely be removed and if people have a problem with that then they are delusional.

If we can start off on the right foot, SP.com may have a forum as healthy this one.

This really is a great forum, and a good example of how positive criticism can happen within diehard fandom!

Maybe if all of thepumpkins.net people make it to the new board before all of the Netphorians, we can keep things good.
