I'm surprised we didn't hear anything from the band about the new song. We knew when they were recording GLOW, but nothing about this. Just seems a little odd. Maybe they couldn't say much because Hyundai didn't want to give anything away about the super bowl ad.

I really liked FOL when I first downloaded it and it's gotten better each time I listen to it.

I actually like the 'surprise' aspect of releasing a new song. I've said this before, it generates a quick buzz and we don't have to wait around for weeks anticipating the new release. I think this can work better.

the "someone kill the lights" reminds of "kill the lights" by britney spears. :/ lol.

I dig the song and it's catchy and upbeat and all but it reminds me a lot of GLOW. Both good songs that are better than the majority of stuff that's coming out today but they both leave me feeling like I want more out of them. Like there's something missing. I think it's the lack of tempo changes/dynamics. I'm not one of these "I miss the 90's and the new SP suxxxxxxx" kida people...just saying that I'd like to hear more complex songs.

Those will come, but this wasn't the right circumstance for a complex song.

maybe he's making some money (Hyundai commercial) while he writes a ton and working at releasing some more his way, and hopefully tour this year.
