Those who have purchased the Box Set, please help me!
I always thought the sequence of EP1 was at is was released (Son-->Widow-->Stitch-->Planes) but now I read on amazon and wikipedia that the order's completley screwed on the release (Son-->Stitch-->Planes-->Widow).
So what's the right running order? I always thought it was the order the songs were released :confused :confused :confused

That'd be cool blueczarnia.

Hang on, Astral Planes should have been recorded with electro beats on the double time bpm of the drums...anyone with me?

I don't own the EP, but the tracklisting was changed up for the physical release:

1. Song for a Son
2. Astral Planes
3. Widow Wake My Mind
4. A Stitch in Time

Another thing: I really wish someone knew the actual speed Teargarden Theme is meant to be played at...does ANYBODY know? Apparently somebody asked Billy during an interview, and he changed the subject... :confused

Bolly plays tricks on the fans all the time (excerpt from Glass and the Machines of God... ;)).
I think I'll keep the physical release running order.

Billy said there are a few versions with the slower version of Teargarden Theme, and then most versions should have the proper theme which is the faster one.

When the whole thing is finished, I wonder if it will be released in the same order as on the EPs, or whether it will all be mixed up - I mean, he can't really have decided on an order for the full project yet when he doesn't even know what will be recorded on later EPs.

then why did you bother posting? :confused

anyway, seeing as how the songs are being released as just an era collection rather than a regular album I don't think there is a real traditional, "official" tracklisting. Just order them in a way that sounds best to you :D

7" vinyls are supposed to be played at 45 rpm.

I dunno, but the whole thing is so fucked up, that it could turn into cult some years from now.
Next gen could love (the complete) TBK for it's weirdness.

Pitchfork won't be so hard on it in 10 years. It will be a classic then. :D

Yep, and in 10 years Pitchfork will also think that "Widow..." is the best song the Pumpkins ever recorded. :billy
You're obliged to pretend respect for people and institutions you think absurd. You live attached in a cowardly fashion to moral and social conventions you despise, condemn, and know lack all foundation. It is that permanent contradiction between your ideas and desires and all the dead formalities...

The only Spirits in the Sky songs that haven't been recorded yet are: "Circular Change", "Emerald Green is the Colour", "West Coast", "Caroline, Yes", and "The Trip".

Billy needs to record "Circular Change" as soon as possible. That song is epic! :thumbsup

In 10 years Pitchfork will no longer be significant to anyone, probably not even around anymore...

"The Trip" could actually be a good way to start the next EP.

Can anybody who has the EP (or the EP versions) tell me what the difference is between the downloadable "Widow Wake My Mind" (4:26) and the EP version (4:59)?

Re:Teargarden by Kaleidyscope 2 years 6 months ago #75298

It's a small extended ending that doesn't really add much to the song. Instead of fading out at the end, like the downloadable version does, the last note is extended with a few more notes played over it (which sound a little reminiscent of Teargarden Theme), and then it ends abruptly.
