M.I.A. OFFLINE Dearth Posts: 55	Adore is still one of my favorites, even though it can be a hard listen. Anyone else like the puff-daddy remix of perfect? I thought it was pretty interesting. I would have liked to hear his ava adore remix too but that probably will never see the light of day.

Raindrops + Sunshowers is their worst I think. I would have much rather had "Go" on Machina than that crap.

venison OFFLINE Die The Noblest of Savages! Posts: 2529	I like Raindrops + Sunshowers too, and it's a great lead-in to Stand Inside Your Love! I like all the songs on MACHINA but I would have to agree that the Imploding Voice is one of the ones, along with Heavy Metal Machine and Blue Skies Bring Tears that get kind of tedious to sit through. But I listen to every song regardless, cuz I'm a purist like that

I agree on that.
The imploding voice could have been replaced with something stronger and less funny, but you get the epic Glass and the Ghost Children after that

By the way, I love Heavy Metal Machine and Blue Sky Bring Tears the way they're found on the album.
Heavy Metal Machine is catchy and cool and Blue Skies Bring Tears is a great depressive and apocalyptical blur, totally trippy imo.
Of course both songs are overdone and stretched, but that's the point of MACHINA somehow, it's less about the songs and all about atmosphere, mood and sequence.
I just love the whole album

So we got love for "Raindrops + Sunshowers" in here. Maybe it is just the repeating drum beat or how Billy sings that irritates me, I'm not sure. But for me,

"Appels + Oranjes" > "Raindrops + Sunshowers"

Out of curiosity, what album do you guys love more, Machina or Adore?

(After joining this site, I have to say, WOW, this is one of the best setups for a fansite I've ever seen, plus it's expansive)
