I was just listening to the Terminal 5 gig and I think that Mike does a pretty good job but in some parts I really do miss Jimmy. A lot. Musically speaking, I don't miss James Iha as much as I miss Jimmy. I know it's impossible to replace Jimmy but it's not impossible to give the "pumpkins feel" to the song and Mike doesn't seem to achieve that. I love the drumming in Tonight Tonight but the way Mike plays the bass drum part on the verse doesn't satisfy me

United States is clearly a bit out of Mike's league, for now at least. Jimmy played that song almost by instinct. As he said, the recorded version is one whole 11 minute drum solo. I would like to see how Mike manages songs like Geek USA. That would be interesting. But hey, he's only 20 or so and living the dream while doing a great job replacing the unreplaceable! I wonder if he used to (or still does) visit any pumpkins fan site.. I mean some months ago that's just what he was. A pumpkins fan. It would be awesome to have Mike posting in this forum
