No reformed band but we are getting all albums remastered with new tracks , gish, siamese and iscariot by september and by 2013 a full mastered machine 2 !!!! and tear garden has stoped for a while to allow them to release an album with in an album !!!! on september the 1st also european tour at last !!!! Oh and OWATA next week .

Not at all interested in re-mastered albums, as if anything I think that will be a drop in sound quality - I mean, MCIS can't be improved. Maybe the others could benefit, I'm not sure. I'm not conviced the bonus tracks will be that new to us, or that good, but we'll see - I hope they at least put them all on a separate disc.

A fully re-mastered Machina II is good news, but I really hope they release it as the full Machina, 2 CD album, not just re-mastered as a separate album.

A proper new album in September? Now that I AM excited about.

very good announcement did not disappoint, look forward to Oceania and Owata but for me Machina finally as a whole piece is the big draw for me oh and Aeroplane Flies High!!

Yeah machine one and 2 in proper order as one album i cant wait for that , as regards MCIS i agree , and as regards the unreleased stuff i also agree that we may have already heard it , i am however intrigued by the bum with in an album concept

Well, that's cool. Sounds like he realizes his "the album is dead and I have invented this innovative wave of the future that shall be called Teargarden" philosophy is/was inherently flawed. Funny that he mispronounced the album name the first time he said it. haha....I wonder if "Oceania" will be made available for free too....he says it's still part of Teargarden, so in theory it should be, right? Not too fired up over the remaster thing, but I am excited to see and hear some new unreleased stuff!

I don't see how they can remaster aeroplane !!!!!!!! how do you make a boxiest more boxiest ? and i always thought billy was going for a clean cut away from the past , so why fight so hard to have to give x amunt of royalties to people you don't like , that is unless he has finally cut all the cords and this remaster session will profit the others in no way , which means money for billy but get left with nothing hmmmm.

That's a good point about whether Oceania will be free. I expect the MP3s still will be, but there will also be a CD/vinyl release for sale. But does that mean you'd then be buying the songs twice when the Teargarden boxset comes out at the end?

It's the Machina thing that stands out as most exciting to me, but 2013... I'm not sure I was planning to live that long, but now I'll just have to.

Well, the Machina II stuff would have to be, or they wouldn't fit with the Machina I stuff at all - I mean, they were never really finished.

Im pretty fired up about the remastering for 2 reasons , the first is that it will push them back in to peoples minds , and 2 machina and machina 2 remastered n the correct order as one album ,that sounds pretty good to me , as mentioned before i doubt the unreleased songs will be anything we havnt heard although he did mention he found a tape of James having a bath once while humming a riff ,so perhaps were in for a treat.

Siamese Dream shouldn't be touched. But there is definitely room from improvement on the other albums. Excited for MCIS to be remastered, I think it needs it the most. Everything else sounds good. Looking forward to the fall.

I'm probably the most excited about Machina I and II being put together/remastered. But they're such lofty promises, and we all know what happens when Billy makes promises.

Another thought:

Let's realize that he is talking about some things in the "immediate" future (6 months or less) but also some things in the more distant future (2 years or more).....Billy doesn't exactly have a great track record with keeping to his promises. If he says the Machina remaster will come in 2013, I assume that I **might** see it by the time I'm 60....but more than likely won't see it at all.
