In other thoughts. wouldn't it be cool Adore was remixed and rerecorded with only Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Base Guitar and Mike laying down the Drums and Percussions in the place of the Drum Machine.

I bet the reissue Machina : The Machines Of God and Machina 2 : The Friends And Enemies Of Modern Music will have the Tokyo and Final Metro Show DVDs.

My nose itches.
I don't mean to hurt anyone, I'm just speaking my personal opinion.

That would be a REALLY neat idea for Adore. Doubt it will happen, however.

Also, it will certainly be interesting which shows they choose for the Machina reissue. No doubt.

This Adore version surely would show some balls.
Personally I can't imagine an Adore without those layers of synths and keys and the lofi drumming-machines.

Hell, if they don't do I may do it. I can do a spot on imitation of Billy. It makes people laugh so hard when I do roew roew roew roew when ever "Today" is on the radio. I do some really good SP covers as jokes.

Same here, but that waould definitely be interesting.

So you guys should give us a sample. I'd be interested to hear how well you imitate Bill. We should make it a contest to see who sounds the most like BC. (I would definitely lose)

When we cover SP songs in my band, I handle the vocals and guitar. I sound nothing like BC, so this is when you really start to understand how vital a BC style vocal delivery (as annoying and whiny as some may deem it) is to the SP signature sound.

We should have a Smashing Pumpkins Impression Contest, I think I would win the Billy Corgan Impression Contest, though I will admit I can't play guitar as good as Billy. Also would it make me a sissy to get my uncle to play piano if I covered Annie Dog, because Annie Dog is my favorite Jazz Pumpkins Song.

Annie Dog is so underrated. It takes Adores minimalistic tendencies and takes them to the max to creat a beautiful dark atmosphere.

Yeah I wish they would play Annie Dog live again, Billy can can play the piano so there's no excuse why it hasn't been played since 2008.

Also Mac The Knife and Annie Dog sound so much a like, I would love to hear Billy cover Mac The Knife.

Well, I think Billy's excuse is that its not really that popular of a Pumpkins song, even with the fanbase. Maybe BC doesn't care for the song, who knows?

There is a whole bunch of songs we (the fans) worship and Billy doesn't give a damn anymore about (By Starlight, Annie-Dog, Window Paine, Aeroplane Flies High...).
It's hilarious.

Yeah it's like he gets on his knees to suck the fanbase's metaphorical schlong, and yet he has a warped idea of what most fans appreciate out of his music. What if all we wanted was to cuddle for once?!

I think he is getting back to his self, I think he has been upset since 2008 when people were walking out on the show when they did songs like Sunkissed, The Rose march, Crestfallen, Annie Dog, and If All Goes Wrong just to name a few. In my opinion anyone who walks out on any of those songs deserves to go to hell, get fucked up the ass by Satan and be forced to watch Mimes eternity. I do think he's beginning to shake off the funk and start rocking out again.

Smashing Pumpkins get nothing but bad reviews, in 2008 they said Smashing Pumpkins they did't sound like the old band enough, in 2010 the said Smashing Pumpkins were trying too hard to sound like the old band. If Smashing Pumpkins play nothing but their Greatest Hits they will make the masses and the critics happy and the hard core fans mad, and if they play nothing but these obscure songs that are never on the radio they will make the hard core fans happy and the masses and the critics mad. Smashing Pumpkins have been pushed into a hole and there's only one way out, play Today, Bullet With Butterfly Wings, 1979, and Cherub Rock and then give the dumb masses a chance to get out before ripping into Pug, Daydream, Jupiter's Lament, Age Of Innocence, Pennies or some other incredible song.

But they have been playing Window Paine lately at least.

With all of these reissues there's one thing I wish they would do, make like a ten or twenty CD box set with a bunch of live songs from all diffident eras Gish to The 20th Anniversary Tour, including Zwan and the Solo tour. I honestly wouldn't mind paying a hundred dollars for that.

The quality better be up to par for 100 bucks.

Got this email today:

Dear Smashing Pumpkins supporters,
We are sincerely sorry for the delay in shipping the reissues of Gish and Siamese Dream. We put so much effort into them from start to finish for you - the fans - and to have them not be in your hands first is very disappointing to us.
Between manufacture to shipping there were multiple delays that were caused by red-tape and integration issues. These are the reasons although we feel there are no excuses. Rest assured that we are doing whatever we can to ensure everything has been shipped or will ship in 24 hours. In fact, many have been shipped already but it is not triggered in the system that sends you confirmation – so don’t be surprised if you get it any second.
Although it doesn't make up for it, we are going to create a special product just for those of you that had pre-ordered Gish or Siamese Dream physical product (Deluxe/CD/Vinyl) through www.smashingpumpkins.com before Nov 29th. We are working very closely with Billy to find and manufacture something specifically for you that no one else will have. We will update you on this as soon as possible and keep you in the loop from the beginning.
We have learned from this and hope that you will give the SPRC another chance at direct purchase in the future. While we appreciate our retail partners- it is always nice to know that the fans are willing to buy directly from the artist and we plan to continue the SPRC with special content and offers.
Once again, we sincerely apologize to you for the delay.

- Smashing Pumpkins Record Club

Can't wait to see what they give me. It doesn't matter either way cause I'm not getting mine till Christmas.....but woot to extra unique free stuff. Hopefully it's not something lame.

So another email came last night. I just placed my "order" (because it was free) for this:

PRODUCT STATUS TRACKING # SHIP DATE
Limited Edition Flexidisc pending N/A Usually ships within 72 hours

No explanation as to what a "flexdisc" is or what's on it. Should be interesting to see. :D
Destroy the mind, destroy the body, but you cannot destroy the heart!

Tell me, tell me what you\\\'re after...I just wanna get there faster.

It's basically a flimsy 7" vinyl if I am not mistaken. The Pumpkins have put out two flexi-discs (I used to think it was just one) in the past. I thought it would be cool given the era if it was a replica of one of those, but who knows. Regardless I'm not getting one because my reissues were from Amazon:
www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fww...9lA2OHStjrGNQrVZ-CLQ
www.spfreaks.com/default.aspx?page=COLLDETAILS&item=1112

My older brother used to have a flexi-disc but it was for a Bloom County comic strip book lol.

Well shit. If it's vinyl I'll probably just sell it on ebay. I don't even have a record player. lol
