Between manufacture to shipping there were multiple delays that were caused by red-tape and integration issues. These are the reasons although we feel there are no excuses. Rest assured that we are doing whatever we can to ensure everything has been shipped or will ship in 24 hours. In fact, many have been shipped already but it is not triggered in the system that sends you confirmation – so don’t be surprised if you get it any second.
Although it doesn't make up for it, we are going to create a special product just for those of you that had pre-ordered Gish or Siamese Dream physical product (Deluxe/CD/Vinyl) through www.smashingpumpkins.com before Nov 29th. We are working very closely with Billy to find and manufacture something specifically for you that no one else will have. We will update you on this as soon as possible and keep you in the loop from the beginning.
We have learned from this and hope that you will give the SPRC another chance at direct purchase in the future. While we appreciate our retail partners- it is always nice to know that the fans are willing to buy directly from the artist and we plan to continue the SPRC with special content and offers.

Can't wait to see what they give me. It doesn't matter either way cause I'm not getting mine till Christmas.....but woot to extra unique free stuff. Hopefully it's not something lame.

Seriously though, if they want people to buy directly from the artist, then they should offer something unique. Especially since SPRC is charging $15 more then most online retailers.

In case anyone involved with the officiial website reads this blog, it is precisely and only the timeframe issue as to why I did not purchase from the website. If I could have been guaranteed to have received the re-issues within a day or two of release to retailers, I would have bought through the website. I almost did anyway but am now glad I did not.

I'm still debating whether I should be cheap and get the digital version, or splurge and get the physical release, only to load the songs on my computer in compressed digital format anyway. Is there really a noticeable difference in sound between CD and digital compressed quality?

few spots of news, people who pre-ordered the re-issues through the official store are going to recieve a special item that they are currently preparing that nobody else will recieve due to orders being sent out late, sounds special. jealous of those people. Billy has confirmed that Pisces is set for April, he plans to release ALL pre-gish material through SPRC, including in the spring of next year, a compilation of the Rubano Tapes (roughly 50 hours of early SP live + rehearsals). Exciting times!

According to my live receipt Gish was sent out on the 7th, still waiting on Siamese. Today My package arrived, and inside? Two copies of Siamese Dream. Weird. I've contacted Band Merch and am waiting for a response. Still happy part of the wait is over.
