Just got this off the wrestling dirt sheet I read.....

- Smashing Pumpkins lead singer Billy Corgan, who is no stranger to the wrestling business, will be starting his own independent wrestling group this fall called Resistance Pro. Corgan is the creative director and will be making the official announcement at the Wizard World convention in Chicago later this month.

That would explain why I couldn't find anything about it before. Let the pissing and moaning over this begin. hahahaha

At least he won't have to pay royalty rights on entrance themes for the wrestlers he employs. He can just write them all their own songs....in fact maybe that could just merge with the whole teargarden thing and he could debut new songs both in wrestling shows and online for fans of his band. :D

the pumpkins posted a link on facebook to an article announcing billy's appearance at the chicago comic con this year. (article link posted below)

i live a few hours south of chicago, and being a fan, instantly purchased tickets. i was/am hoping he will do some sort of signing or meet and greet...but i can't find much other than he will be there between 5 and 7....and then something about an announcement for his position being made.

is anyone else going to attend this? what do you think?
