I think same thing goes with Smashing Pumpkins, I know plenty of people who say Billy can't sing and that their albums are boring.

Same thing goes with Poets Of The Fall, I know some people who refuse to listen to them because they're from Finland.

I could understand not liking his singing, but the albums being boring? Impossible I say.

Call me a freak, but I think Billy is a great singer, just unusual.

What would anyone who watches American Idol know about talent? One of my favorite singers Marko Sarresto a trained opera singer and lead vocalist of Poets Of The Fall said "I had to untrain my voice so I could sing better, vocal coaches teach you to sing smooth and have perfect pitch and never sound ruff, jagged, or out of pitch. But I have found that if you do exactly what they tell you you will sound like a robot. It's the vocal equivalent of a faked orgasm." I'm not sure that's exactly word for word what he said, but it's close as I remember, the website is dead now.

Well I think you have to give his voice a listen to in different times, his best vocals were during the Adore Era, Zwan Era, 20th Anniversar Tour.

I'm much more into people who sound like they feel what they're singing, I don't care much whether it's technically good or in tune. That's why I used to like Billy Corgan's voice so much - especially on MCIS and Adore, it really sounded like he was just giving it his all and not worrying too much about it being "perfect". This take, just don't give a fuck...

Did you know that Butch Vig put a tiny bit of Phasers / Auto-Tune on Siamese Dram to smooth out Billy's voice? That's why I like Mellon Collie, and Adore, bets because you can hear what everyone really sounds like.

Auto Tune wasn't invented/released until 1998, so maybe you meant another program, Glass? I was under the impression that many separate takes were spliced together.

They used to have something that was very similar to Auto-Tune, and it was around way before 1998, because Disco Bands and Musicians used to use it. Butch Vig, once said something about him using a program on Billy's voice on Siamese Dream but not on Gish (you can tell because Billy sounds very different on those two albums).

I hate to put this thread back on topic, but Tuesday is when The Disco King is going to release Oceania. I think he has held the album back for so long because he wants people to forget Teargarden By Kaleidoscope. I don't know whether or not he has abandon the project altogether, but it appears he is looking for a way out of it and if Oceania is as good as I think it will be he may have found it.

One question, is Oceania, going to be free like the rest of Teargarden?

Where did we confirm Tuesday for Oceania Release?

^Maybe he's just assuming since most CD's/Video games release on Tuesday. Or maybe he has an inside source he's hiding from us!
