What is the station? I suggest we provide them with a great deal of requests... lol.

aha... my brothers on his fourth listen. the first was a couple days ago, in the car, starting at Pinwheels. then i put it in the cd player today, after that he asked to listen to it again, then he asked if it was on repeat. he knows the Pumpkins, but he doesn't really listen to them. so that's pretty cool.

OK - this should dispel all the crap about the Neu Pumpkins being just a front for Billy:

The whole series of cuts from Tuesday night are stellar.

Maybe I'm preaching to the choir though?

Here's another - did he get into tune? (good banter):

This would make a pretty solid EP actually - the quality is good.

I happened to convince my bass player with Oceania yesterday who had given up on SP years ago when Zeitgeist came out :) .

For me it's on par with classic SP now.
So here's my new SP output ranking:

Everything else
Siamese Dream

Zeitgeist

^You even think Pisces is better than SD? Personally I love SD's production, but it's probably still behind Adore and MCIS for me. Maybe even Machina II as well.

I don't think I've listened to this enough to rank it yet. I've listened to older Pumpkins albums 100 or so times, whereas I've probably listened to Oceania around 10 times! :p

@Frankie: Shit (electronic stuff anyway) is usually really expensive in Australia right?

I always liked Pisces better than SD.

Just ordered a front cover shirt and the SP heart string necklace at the o-shop :)

I just got back today from my trip and one of the first things I did was go and make sure that I secured a copy of this album for my listening pleasure. I had been listening to the rip for the actual trip, which was good, but after listening to the real thing just pales in comparison. It sounds amazing from what I've heard on the CD production wise. I'll be listening to it a few more times before reserving judgment. It's really continuing to only get better though.

Also The Celestials single looks so awesome, I must obtain one now :D

Sorry for the double post, but where does Teargarden rank among this list :billy

I have to say, for all Billy's claims that Oceania is still part of Teargarden, it doesn't go with the earlier songs at all... it's just too good :p

Oceania is set to debut at #6 on the Billboard 200, with an anticipated 50k copies sold.
