Love, love, love this song. One of my favorites. I love when the bass kicks in at 1:16.

I've found myself humming the chorus absentmindedly.

I like the Special K line, whether it refers to the breakfast cereal or getting fucked up on Ketamine remains to be seen.

Good chorus and song, but I cannot stand the "Special K" lyric. Too cheesy.

Props to BC for this one. Great tune. I'm not rating any of these Oceania songs until I've given it at least ~20 listens.

I like the song but I don't know what is with the Special K lyric haha. Was this song originally called Special K or something? Ok I looked it up and I was right, it was a working title for it. Do you think they changed it because of the Placebo song of the same name?

I bet since Billy and Placebo dislike each others.

This song is getting radio play in my world. Heard it this morning. Thought that was pretty cool. Seems like stations that are still behind the band are just arbitrarily picking what "single" to play since BC didn't give them one.

This one seems like a decent choice for a single.

Definitely. Possibly this and MLIW stand out as "singles" the most.

I see this is still being played on Toronto radio... don't see it anywhere else though? Anyone?

I don't generally listen to radio so I can't say.

The Celestials is the fucking bomb. It actually took a while to warm up for me, but when it did .... Oooh boy.

Where to start? This song just gives it all. There's absolutely nothing left behind in this song. The acoustics are adoreable, the Mellon Collie orchestration sitting in the background, the twists and turns as it aims for the sky and never looks back.

Quasar and Panopticon are Class A songs, deservedly earning their ten points out of ten. But The Celestials sends shivers down my spine. It captures life forward, back and now in a way I don't think we've heard since Mayonaise.

My only criticism would be it's positioning on the album. I think this would have worked better at the end of the album, either before Wildflower or just the last song on the album. This really is the highest peak Oceania ever reaches.

Agreed.
Like Pale Horse this sounds like written for original SP many years ago.

Yeah this is definitely one of the songs where I believe Billy. (about him finding his soul and essence of his original music or w/e)

This is a beautiful song, reminiscent of Mellon Collie's softer moments, but at the same time it's something new. The Special K line grates a bit, as I find it hard not to think of the cereal when he says it, but as that's only for a couple of seconds in the song I'm willing to forgive Billy for that ;) The Pumpkins magic is back :D

I bet Special K payed BC behind the scenes to include that lyrics. They are trying to implant their cereal in our subconcious in hopes that we buy it the next time we're at the grocery store. :p

If only it had been Weetabix - that would've been a great lyric. Or Honey Nut Cheerios.
