I don't think a half a year or even a year is crazy. That will make sure we are given perspective on Oceania and gives time for our initial excitement to die down and possibly help us more objectively rate the songs.
You're obliged to pretend respect for people and institutions you think absurd. You live attached in a cowardly fashion to moral and social conventions you despise, condemn, and know lack all foundation. It is that permanent contradiction between your ideas and desires and all the dead formalities...

Too crazy for me, apparently, so I'm rating them now :p

This is a great song. It follows on from Quasar perfectly and manages to be catchier and have much, much better lyrics. This one could've made a good album opener on its own, to be honest.

9/10

My thoughts:
I liked the title, but didn't know (of course) if I could expect to like the song. Keep in mind that I had not heard any live recordings of these songs, so had no clue what I was in for. In short, after "Quasar" ended this song kicked in like a seriously hard kick to the face - only way less painful. Hehe. Seriously, I love this song, it kicks so much butt. At first I wasn't really sure which I preferred, this or "Quasar", but I think now I can say that I prefer this one. I love the chorus a. lot. This is gonna be kick arse to see live in concert!

This one picks up right where Quasar left off and just improves upon it. It's rockin and has a really nice groove going on. BC's vocal melody and lyrics are better than the first song. Byrne's drumming is big and keeps the beat perfectly.

All the instruments work together to creat an almost SD-esque wall of sound but the atmosphere is somewhat different. Somewhat bigger. The chorus is melodic but not overtly catchy or poppy, but it is very effective in its own right. This song (to me) is even better if you listen to it with some sort of equalizer that's boosting the bass.

So overall, I really like this tune.

8.5/10

I think this song may be replacing the others in the 'obsession' stakes right now...maybe it's my new fave of the week :) (Fair enough, it is a new week after all, time for a new fave!)
