Yeah Pumpkin Queen only shows up to the ones in cities she is going to be in anyways. She is stationed in LA, so she went to that one. If I remember correctly the reason why there was a first UK meetup was because she was going to be in the UK to see The Boxer Rebellion, and that started all this meetup stuff (aside from established fan groups that had already meetups one kind or another). She had suggested that SP might do meet and greets later on for the most active fan meetup pages, but if that happens at all, it will be during the tour.
It's good that you had some fun at your Baltimore meetup. We had our Toronto meetup yesterday (Sunday). While it was bigger than our Winnipeg and Calgary ones, 8 people only showed up. We had a great time despite this, having Pumpkins rarities, b-sides and live tracks playing over the sound system. We also discussed our experiences seeing the band or lack thereof, thoughts on the reunion, and other tidbits.
But to put in perspective, including guests, 26 people had 'confirmed' on the event invite, and 42 said 'maybe'. To say I am disappointed in those that confirmed and said nothing to change that (given ample opportunity), would be putting it lightly.
It's a shame, it could have been even better time as the venue (a pub that allows all ages before 9 pm), opened up the 2nd floor especially for us. We had told the venue given the confirmed people and the amount of maybes that we would be expecting 30 people. I am concerned that because so many people didn't show up when they promised to, that the venue will not grant any further requests for party bookings from us (we were able to get the 2nd floor for free!). My hope is that we gave them enough business to allow us to do meetups there in the future

.
On the bright side of things, we will have a short video hopefully ready for tommorrow to put up. For the next meetup, I suppose more people will show up since it will be spring, and then we can get more footage that would be fitting to put in an sp fan documentary. Since there was only 8 of us this time around, we ended up shooting 20 minutes out of the 4 hours (we would not have shot more than an hour anyways) and cut it down to 4 or 5 minutes.
There was some weirdness/sillyness that some of the people did for the camera that just didn't fit with the rest of the footage, so at most it will show up as a 'deleted scene' at some point. It just didn't fit as documentary footage.
