OK, forget about weather these songs were released commercially or not, I think it would be cool if these were included in the monster compilation:

My Dahlia and Sun from Light into Dark
Daughter, the extended version on the flexidisc single.
Sub Pop versions of I Am One and Tristessa

What about you guys, what would of you liked to see?

I like those songs. It would be also cool if Oui Henri, the songs on the Cabaret Metro disc,Jennifer Ever, the Machina acoustic demo outakes, and extended versions of the Pastichio Medley stuff were on it. I love all Pumpkin songs though- album tracks, b-sides, non-commercial. So where do you begin with such a list?

yes, and Nothing and Everything, Sun, Behold the nightmare '98 Upper Darby,PA version,Vanilla, Spilled Milk, Jennifer Ever. Empty Sea, Dancing in the Moonlight, Razor, Honey Spider, Saturnine and Here's To the Atom Bomb(alt. version).

From pre-gish, my favorites are NOthing and Everything (Is this also called My Eternity?), She, and There It Goes. Awesome songs.

Is it just me, or don't we already have almost all of the stuff mentioned about?

I'd be hoping for stuff we hadn't heard before, so obviously I can't name any of them!
I know there was mention of releasing special edition SP albums with unheard studio tracks from that time, but what's this monster compilation?

Yeah, I agree. We all have this stuff. I would really prefer stuff we have never heard of- stuff hidden away in the Pumpkin vaults.

Yeah, if they were going to officially release all that stuff I would expect it to be done as free downloads anyway. Firstly, because we already got them as free downloads, secondly because they're basically demos/live performances which were probably never intended to be released commercially, and thirdly because BC and JC don't need any more money off us (not for old stuff they recorded anyway).

Even if they do dig out some truly never before heard songs (which would be awesome), I kinda hope they would give them away as free downloads. That way I can put my favourites together to make a cool CD.

Btw, I've already made a cool 3 CD set of my favourite early SP rarities (mainly stuff from Mashed Potatoes, Reel Time Sessions, Gish/SD b-sides and other early live recordings).

I just noticed there's a demo of Here is No Why on SP's myspace. Maybe it's been up a while, I dunno.

Anyway, it's kinda cool, but this is the kinda thing I definitely hope they WON'T be trying to charge us for.

yeah, yeah, I know all that, but some things AREN'T for free, like the ones I mentioned, and if they are, they're pretty average quality.

What I meant was, there are some "Rarities and B-Sides" that exist that aren't on that iTunes compilation, and it would be cool if they were.

I still think they should be free though. But I guess SP don't have the right to do that with all their old stuff.

I don't know. Billy has gave stuff away before- Gravity, FEMM, Machina II. He probably wouldn't give away bigger and better stuff though.

i really hope he puts together the special edition cd's that would be awesome.

back to the rarities and b-sides part, i don't know if it was this topic, but when we were speculating what songs from the vaults they could bring out, i really hope the viper gets brought out complete.

I'm just worried that they'll stick any old rubbish on the b-side/out-takes/rarities cds. I'm sure there'll be some great stuff out there, but then, with it being unreleased stuff, there's probably some duds and a lot of instrumental demos. All that stuff is fine, but it would become a CD I wouldn't bother to listen to often because of the crap. And I do prefer to listen to an entire CD rather than just a few choice songs.

That's why if they were given away, or cheap DRM-free downloads, then I could download them all and just put my favourites on a CD. Anyway, I don't mean to sound ungrateful, whatever happens I'll be happy to get some unheard Pumpkins stuff

i know what you mean, its not ungrateful, its just that expectations would be so high... i don't know if they'd be fulfilled.

I would like Billy to release all the Adore b sides he said he had.

I'd LOVE more MCIS demos though (as if there arn't enough already) but particularly the ones from the Medley.

Jeez, I wonder what Die sounds like before the last six minutes...
