I find that album covers have a huge part in what I think of the album. I can't help it, it's just the impression I get.

For example, Gish's cover to me gives the album a very dirty sort of sound. On the other hand, SD's cover makes the whole album seem very playful and innocent.

Adore, anyone?

TheFutureEmbrace?

Zeitgeist???

Whenever I hear an album, the "colour" and "texture" of the sound is instantly influenced by what the cover looks like and what is on it.

Which is why to me, Adore seems much darker and bleak than it really is, TFE seems much more dull and dank than it really is, and Zeitgeist seems too thought out.

YES Yes Yes. I feel exactly the same. The whole artwork of an album, I think definately affects how you feel when you listen to the music. Imagine Adore with the Siamese Dream cover. It would seem terrible and be a completely different experience listening to it. But as this is a DVD; where you're gonna already have visual refference, i dont think its going to have much of an impact on the watching experience.

true i think the cover is more obsolete on a video than with an actual album...

Preorders beware.

I went to preorder it from Amazon.com, and right before you check out it says "Estimated delivery date November 18th"

I'm sure it'll be in Best Buy stores on the 11th. Ours up here usually sells CD's and DVD's that are brand new releases pretty cheap in the first week or so. And a lot of times you don't know it till you check out....like the shelf will say it's 19.99 but it'll ring up at 12.99. and that deal will only last for a few days or a week. The Best Buy is right across the street from my work...I'll be over there first thing the day it comes out.:D

I am excited, I just realized that the DVD comes out the day of the first night at DC. I probably will have to watch the DVD at work throughout the day. Not that they will play anything from the DVD at the show that night, but if the band hangs around for a little while after the show I can speak to them about it. This makes me smile :D

Neat, that's great timing. I imagine a lot of other hardcore fans will watch the DVD during the day as a lead up to the concert.
