Musically, the best one yet. Period. Love the guitar sound, love the riff. But....as usual lately, the lyrics are SHIT!!!!!!!

This is Mike's best effort by a long shot too. The drumming ain't half bad!

I do like the guitar sound, but I'm not crazy about that pulsing phaser or what is going on. Decent, but I haven't liked this song from the beginning.

The guitar sound at the beginning reminds me of Bodies....which is probably why I like it. I kinda dig the phaser too. This is the only one of the 4 that I was compelled to listen to again as soon as it ended. Although on subsequent listens, I picked up on Linda Strawbimbo's subtle backup "everyone"'s and that's a bit of a turn off. At least it's buried enough in the mix that it doesn't distract too much.

The start reminds me of Bodies too. Sadly, it goes downhill soon after when the vocals start. His voices has a whiny pop sound to it, which doesn't really suit the music.

And the lyrics, again, are basic and generally crap. I mean, if he doesn't have great lyrics coming to him as easily as he used to 10-15 years ago he should really start sitting there for longer and working on them. It sounds like he thinks of a few lines, can't think of anything else, so just repeats them.

I like the distorted sound of the music, but my first impression is that over all this is the weakest song yet - meaning, for me, they've got worse each time. Still, I've only listened once, so there's a fair chance I'll change that statement later on...

A bit repetitive? Other than a brief section in the middle it's just one line over and over again. It makes WWMM's lyrics seem complex.

I have to presume Billy's too busy with other things to put time and effort into SP's music at the moment.

Granted, I'm listening on my laptop speakers, but I do not like this mix at all. Need to go find my headphones.

The phasing is a bit much. I would have preferred some classic SP "crunch" at the heavy breaks, but I know better than that.

For some reason the end trailing off into the weird guitar reminds me of the breakdown in Glass and the Ghost Children.

Listening to the 4 songs in succession makes me hate the individual pieces less. Maybe this thing is finally taking on some kind of identity?

Too repetitive (musically and lyrics), although it is a good tune. Wish he could have expanded it a lot more.

I think I agree with the general belief that the music sounds pretty awesome, but the lyrics suck. In fact, lyric wise, this is probably some of the worst that Billy has ever written. I kinda wish he would have screamed at the end, like he did live, but I knew he wasn't going to. Oh well. This is my least favorite of the four released so far.

I was hoping (though not realistically expecting) that this song would restore my faith in the project, but contrary to that it ended up being far worse than I expected and the worst song so far, despite some decent music and having a nice distorted sound to it.

Im a bit dissapointed too many effects on the track the live version with billy and the spirits in the sky (linda strawberry backing vocals) is far better and much more raw like the old pumpkins. I know billy likes to change his music but he seems like he has changed a track that I was really looking forward a bit too much

This is my favourite so far. Yes, its repetitive but for some reason I can tolerate it more than the other songs on the EP. Lyrically, this EP is very, very weak but I expect that too change with the next EP. Do you guys think that there will be a large gap between now and the first release of the next EP?

Yeah, looking back now that the first EP is completed, it's been a wild ride, with some good bumps, and some bad bumps along the way, but this is truly a journey I will never forget...

So 1/3 of an entire year later, and we finally have a 4-song EP...and 10 more to go!

Alright, I'm really thinking that this whole process is going on way too slowly. It's a pretty strange way to go about an album now that I think about it. Usually when all the songs are in place at once you take it all in and get to appreciate the nuances of the emotional progression and changes in mood that each song brings to the plate as the album wears on.

But with this 1 song a month set up, what ends up happening is that you listen to each new song to death (or just a few times if you think it sucks ), and then you're stuck with whatever you have until the next "4-6 weeks". There's no forward momentum, no buildup, no climax. Or if there is, it dissipates in the weeks of waiting and accumulated disinterest. Somehow this whole project feels stagnant...
