Right, im saying this as a fan, not one of those loosers that jumps on the bandwagon to criticise every single track of billys just cause "its not from the 90's". I think 20 years into a bands career when only the founding member remains... No-one expects anything good whatsoever. I mean most bands are gone by now. But to still create some incredible pieces of work like gossamer that rivals some of their best stuff is simple awesome.

Some people criticise the band now because they "sound different".
What a Joke!. Times have changed, There's less demand for 90's music. They simly have to update or believe it or not - It will become boring

To sum up teargardens baby stages :

Song for a son : Fantastic - Possibly repeated too much, but oh well
Widow make my mind : Pretty poor - Repetative
Stitch in time : Great - Some atmosphere in the track. Easy listening
Astral Planes : Less said the better.
Freak : Is teargarden picking up?

And now - tommorow we have the latest chapter in the albums 5-6 year span.

I think i agree with many people here.. The new album stuff is mediocre at best (although i loved zeitgeist).

But i dont think their album stuff isnt as good as before because their 20 years in and have hit writers block.

I think its not as good because mainly the best songs they've ever written just get put away in a box. It's not fair - It damages the bands reputation and if they actually released songs that were their best (which album tracks should be). We'ed all be praising teargarden.

Dont get me wrong , i think the best is still to come but...

To have a track like gossamer be a demo... Im sorry, stuff like that shouldnt happen

To sum up:
The reason their new stuff is mediocre is cause they dont even release their best tracks which is sad. Now roll on tommorow and i hope they've made a wise choice. Yet again it's not my band and i have no right as a fan to pick songs for an album he's sweeping out for free.

I think that song number six is going to be "Spangled", although I would love for it to be "Tom Tom".

no, but apparently both songs were written about his relationship with veronica grey and they were both played live together with no break - just a direct interlude to my love is winter (Hence the fact that there were no seconds of silence after spangled off teargarden). If im wrong , then possibly shadowland but i like the chances of seeing my love is winter

...and this seamless appearing in My love is winter (wich is a good idea, indeed) is apparently not given on the studio recording.
