I've never even listened to this before I had to rate it. To be honest, I never really have no interest in alternate mixes of songs.

After listening to this I have to say that it really is a piece of garbage.
It goes nowhere for the whole 6 minutes.

When I first got Machina I didn't like HMM. So it surprised me when I heard this alternate version that they could actually make it sound worse.

I do like the original version of HMM now - I think the recent live performances of it allowed me to appreciate it in a new way. But I'm listening to this alternate version now and I remember why I haven't listened to it in years.

It sounds a total mess. I don't know if it's partly due to poor sound quality, or is it really supposed to sound like that?

I love this song. The fuzzy textures, the reverberated drums, it's like an industrial wasteland of Machina. This probably my #1 unpopular opinion but I could meditate to this song all day.

EDIT: Oh and the guitar noises in the background... fuck. I can't be the only fuzz/recording geek on here who appreciates the sonic sex that is happening in this song. Some of NIN's The Slip and Ghosts remind me of this song.

The only way it could be any worse if it had guest vocals by N Sync
