Anyway Disarm
Overplayed on radio and music channels etc. And 'Disarm' Boy/Man/Girl/Woman is the most annoying person you can stand next to at a SP gig ...... you all know them..... the person who shouts 'Play Disarm' throughout the entire gig.

Geez I really want to hate this song .... but I can't, its a great song a 9.5 from me.

I used to really dislike this song... I used to think, "What are the Smashing Pumpkins doing making music.... like THIS?" I later came to appreciate the artistry through the various live versions that are available. I came to understand that there is a reason the song sounds like this. On every album there's a song that grows on people... and that's this song for me. I'd give it an appreciative 8.

A contender for my all-time favourite Pumpkins song. 10.

Decent song but a little bland and too whiny even on Billy's standards. Not a fan of the studio version and actually I don't really like live versions either. 5.

11 of 10 for Soma

Siamese Dream... Where did it all begin???

At first the only songs I liked were Disarm and Today. Then after repeats I slowly got into Cherub Rock, Mayonaise and ... Soma...

At one point I thought this was the best song on the album. It is truly a magnificent piece of music. Classic SP Epic ...

but Unfortunately years later it doesn't stand up against other Siamese songs. The trendy Today and atmospheric Rocket are better. Hummer is even more solid. Disarm and Cherub Rock Blow it away.

I love Soma.
But it no longer surprises me.

I really love this song. I wish this would have been a single because of the great vocals. The guitar work through the whole song is amazing to me. One of my favorite songs to listen to on Siamese specifically with headphones on -- tons of great little touches. Floats between a 9 and a 10 for me -- so i'll give it a 9.5.

Another great song a 10 from me

Just the dynamics, the layering, and the idea of this song (Corgan says it is "based on the idea that a love relationship is almost the same as opium: it slowly puts you to sleep, it soothes you, and gives you the illusion of sureness and security.") are enough to make this song perfect. The music is just the finishing touch. 10

It gets a perfect 10 from me also.

I usually feel guitarists are dorks for obsessing over guitar solos.... but I crank the solo on this song every time I listen to it.
