I was thinking just before, I usually listen to Spangled when I wake up, and I tend to listen to Go before I sleep. What Pumpkins songs do you associate with things you do?

Driving on deserted streets around 2 am, midsummer, windows down means I'm listening to Perfect.

I write novels and short stories, and I listen to the following tracks to inspire me to write:

1. Gossamer - Acoustic at Secret Berlin Gig
2. Death From Above at the Filmore
3. Let Me Give The World To You - Live Electric 98, 2007, and the acoustic demo
4. Speed Kills, all studio and live versions
5. The Fellowship

Goblin's Suspiria too

I try to listen to Cherub Rock in the morning because it puts me in a positive mood.

I listen to Hummer in the morning then I listen to Home right before bed.

I have listened to Siamese Dream on many occasions before class to pump me up.

I lie in bed, cry over my lost love, and feel my soul deaden when listening to Blank Page :(

I listen to music at work and a lot of times I make Pumpkins playlists then put it on shuffle and then try to guess what song will be next. :)

Or if I'm sad I put them on and try (try, try) to feel better.

I listen to 1979 whenever I'm out with friends at night :P

Most of the pumpkins music for me is seasonal. I listen to more of Siamese Dream & Adore in the late summer, MCIS in the winter, Gish in the spring, Machina and Zeitgeist in the fall, and Machina II in earlier summer. Some of that varies though, when I just want to hear a song or two.

i usually fall asleep every single night listening to Lily, By Starlight, and Farewell and Goodnight, unless my playlist is longer and i fall asleep before i reach those songs. oh god that outro on Farewell and Goodnight is so magical to hear when youre fading out.

1979 is my usual song to whine about my lost youth/innocence...and so is Age Of Innocence.

Window Paine is the song I listen to before doing/deciding big things.

And then there is Thru The Eyes Of Ruby, the song I listen to when I'm totally in love...I haven't listened to this for a long time.

Finally, when I want to feel really blue, I switch on In My Body.

I just love being melancholy, so I can find a Pumpkins song for nearly every situation :) It's always fun getting blasted then listening to Astral Planes.

"Astral Planes" is really fun to listen to while you're driving.

Great list Don. I love Window Paine, I used it for the same until I found United Sates. But Window Paine needs to be brought back full on. I don't think it's been played in full since Siamese Dream era.
