SP were actually starting to do some really good music just before Jimmy left. Obviously just stuff they played live, but songs like Song For A Son, The March Hare and As Rome Burns. I liked Zeitgeist a lot, but when I heard those songs I thought that maybe Billy was really going to return to his former glory. Then TGBK started with Song For A Son, which lost a little passion in the studio recording, but is still a great song... but then it all seems to have gone downhill from there. Not that the songs that followed are awful, but it seems I did get my hopes up for nothing.

As for what appears on EP3... I don't care, but it would be nice if it was something with a bit more to it.

How I've Loved You is probably Spangled, thats my guess. And Love Is The Sweetest Thing was a cover wasn't it?

I'm just keen to see the mastering fixed up. Listening to the Solstice Bare, it kind of strikes me that while the songs are good, the mastering just doesn't mesh. Maybe it's because most of the songs I've got are rips of differing qualities, but still... You know how Siamese Dream has a really clean, crisp sound? Or how Zeitgeist has primo compression? It's missing that unity.

Yeah I'm sure not having songs from the same source is making a small difference, but also because each song kind of has a little bit different feel to it. Almost as if they would not be from the same album.

Yeah, I don't think it's to do with sources much. The Fellowship and Tom Tom seemed to move towards a more "shiny" / clean sound that leans towards Zeitgeist, as opposed to Spangled and Freak which kinda retained the muddy / lo-fi vibe from the first EP. Sort of.

I'm presuming it won't be as the rights of it are probably tied up with whichever company did the Vampire Diaries soundtrack. Unless he managed to sign something just stating that he wouldn't give it away for a certain period of time, but I think it's more likely as it is now commercially available it can't also be a freebie.

It doesn't belong to Vampire Diaries company if he's selling it on the Solstice Bare EP.
And if it can't be released before EP3 Billy is going back on his word

Anyway, here is my guess for songs on the 3rd chapter of TBK....

1. My Love is Winter
2. Lonely is the Name
3. As Rome Burns
4. Zen Baby
5. Baby {Vinyl}

I think "Lonely Is the Name" and "My Love Is Winter" are the two most likely to be on there. I'd add "Owata" and "When the Cocks Crow" as my guesses for the the other two, but "As Rome Burns" or "Baby" is just as likely, and I bet one of the four will be something I'm not even thinking of/don't know about like "The Fellowship" was.

I don't really like As Rome Burns...
