Good for Jimmy! :)

Song was kinda good, although the guy's voice would have to grown on me. Be interested in listening to more though.

Well, Jimmy sounds like he's on the ball about Billy and the band. I wonder how much influence Jeff and Nicole have over our Supreme Leader :sillyhat
Still, Jimmy did stay with Corgan through a lot - the breakup, Zwan, Solo Billy - looks like Zeitgeist was too much ;)

Good interview. I'm really looking forward to the Skysaw thing getting a proper release (i.e. on CD ;)). I guess it sounds like it might be a full album too, as he mentioned a song that wasn't on the EP called "Am I Second".

I found it kind of amusing that the interview starts:
"I want to be 'Jimmy Chamberlin, the drummer, the musician who's done many things,'" the 46-year-old rocker tells SPIN.com, "not just 'that guy from the Smashing Pumpkins.'"
and is titled: "LISTEN: Ex-Pumpkin Jimmy Chamberlin's New Band" :)

Nice to hear from him in this interview. I laughed a bit at the Billy waking up and writing 5 songs, haha. I definitely love the song posted on the article, very good stuff.

i thought that was an interesting bit too.

i'm not much for the guys vocals on Skysaw from what i've heard, but i will give it a listen once Jimmy releases his EP or album.

Sounds like Jimmy is free. And far less stressed out over trying to fit into a specific definition of something. Unlike another musician I know of. Good for him. He's doing what he wants and doing it on his own terms. We should all be so lucky.

Thought it was interesting JC said Tightrope situation was his favorite track. Of the 6 that are out there, it's probably my least favorite. That said, I'm more stoked about this album than I am about Teargarden. Go Jimmy, go.
