He's also writing an autobiography, titled God is Everywhere, from Here to There, that he described as a "spiritual memoir."

I'd much rather have a straight up auto biography in the style of the confessions.
You're obliged to pretend respect for people and institutions you think absurd. You live attached in a cowardly fashion to moral and social conventions you despise, condemn, and know lack all foundation. It is that permanent contradiction between your ideas and desires and all the dead formalities...

Can't wait! 1000 pages about the Pumpkins and God and Billy, sounds interesting!

Its either going to be really awesome, or really irritating. Depends on how he writes it. Im looking forward to it either way though. Id rather be irritated by Billys writing than anyone elses :)

i thought that was funny too.

i'm not much for the god stuff, but it could be an interesting read if its along the same lines as his confessions. hopefully it won't be wrapped in preachy, new age jesus. i would like to read about the band stuff though and what not.

I don't plane on reading the biography of Billy Corgan, I plan on listening to the music and enjoying the music and nothing more nothing less. :billy :jimmy :james :darcy

This is just another project idea that will never see the light of day. I highly doubt he ever finishes it.

I'm not sure why he's trying to do all these things at the same time. I mean, isn't re-mastering 3 albums, recording a new album and assembling at least 3 b-side/out-take collections by the end of the year enough? :p

Yep, it is for me. Apparently not for him, though. I hear he's also working on a cure for cancer and building a life size replica of the Santa Maria.

Let me first say that I too believe this never will get finished. Too much on his plate and an hour at a time will not get him far. Having said that, I actually would not mind reading his philosophizing on spiritual matters. Not in a seeking-guidance sort of way (and I hope his intent is not to influence others), but I do think his spiritual evolution has played a role in his songwriting throughout his life and it would be interesting to approach his spiritual memoir from this perspective. Heck, we spend so much time on dissecting his life's work, it wouldn't hurt to delve a little deeper into the man who produced it. Problem is I think many of us are scared what we might find.

I don't really wanna know who brainwashed Billy with thast religious bullshit.
He used to be cool and an idol.
Billy used to seem much too intelligent for being a religious fanatic :sigh

I could be wrong, but wasn't it a psychiatrist he saw around the time his mother died who "converted" him. Like I say, I might be wrong about that. If it was around that time, I suppose it's slightly understandable, people reach out for anything under such upsetting circumstances. Still, I really wish he hadn't gone down the road, it's hard to take him seriously sometimes now.

Marilyn Manson's The Long Hard Road Out of Hell, might just be the best book I've ever read.

Ah, sorry, thought you were joking that I'd like it as it's less likely to be about making out with Jesus :p I'm not into Marilyn Manson enough to bother reading it. I have a couple of musician autobiography's - Shane MacGowan and E from the Eels - they're both very good.

I never even heard Manson before I read the autobiography, which was reccommended to me by a friend. I'd seen a few of Manson's video clips and thought he sounded shithouse. Then I read the book, which is one of the most powerful and well written story's I've ever come across. There were things I read in there that actually changed my life. Philosophy's about dreams, timetravel, and satanists are just the tip of the iceberg.
