Out of ten

Unable to Stay, Unwilling to Leave 4

I Want You 3

I can't believe I'm voting for Titanic this round. I mean, I like some soundtrack orchestration on some movies, but that was a bit of fizzer. The other song, which is a real song, didn't have any effect on me whatsoever. So I suppose I'd rather listen to Titanic again than Elvis Costello. For some reason the Titanic score reminded me of Braveheart, and Braveheart's a good movie. Counts for something.

I'm not gonna vote.
Costello was dull and the Titanic OST makes me feel like I wanna die.

i can't listen to the songs right now because i'm at work, but i must admit i had to laugh a smidge when i saw the Titanic no offence to whoever chose it. i just can't help but hear that awful Celine Dion song when i see that pic. ;)

But really. Celine has a lot of love in her heart. Relationships mean a lot to her.

are you a secret Celine Dion fan? ;)

she is a talented singer i suppose, just not even remotely my thing. she's more like something your mom would listen to.

Well I was raised on several goofy artists, including Celine Dion. When I was 10 or 11 she was one of my fave. So I totally respect her music, but don't listen to it now in any which manner.

I'm agreeing with Frankie on two cases. One, Celine Dion being a talented vocalist. Two, that the Titanic soundtrack song is sadly better than the Costello song.

I'm considering entering some music from a soundtrack myself, but definitely not from that one. That's much too soppy for me, makes me feel a little sick. Sea sick maybe.

I've always quite liked Elvis Costello, although I only have one of his albums. Haven't heard that song before, and maybe it does go on a bit long, but Costello's heartfelt vocals make it worth listening to. Easily the winner for me.

Celine Dion might be a talented vocalist and entertainer but she never did the right songs.

Titanic? Seriously? It's hard for me not to laugh at the absurdity of that. Costello gets my vote by default.

Never seen Titanic. But that song sounds like Celtic Woman x_x Not a Costello fan, but this song was just better.

give me some Yanni, please! :roll

haha. it's still funny that someone submits that. anyway, the Costello song was alright, but it didn't really stand out for me. I found myself drifting off as it played, kind of like what happens in boring lectures

Your neutral openness is admirable, Ghostchild. A paragon for us all.

Now, I'm going to abstain from voting in protest; a fair bit of the judges seem to be voting on, rather than musical content, dynamic, and emotional impact - on image. Allow me to throw in the accusation of "absurd" in the instant bias against a track because it was in a soppy movie. I won't take any part of a competition with such tangential judgment. But thank a few of you for confirming a sneaking suspicion.

I'll keep in mind that a white four piece with long hair would fare much better next time.

And here I was, thinking the music taste championships referred to the taste of the music. Silly me.

I had the same experience. :( Not cool. And as such all music associated with that song and movie has a similar effect on me. I went with Costello. I actually didn't mind his song.

You're protesting because of one voter? What does that prove?
