The top five worst albums you've ever listened to.
I don't mean to hurt anyone, I'm just speaking my personal opinion.

That's hard to say. I practice doublethink and erase all records of horrible music so as to never relive the memories again. But a few leak through... :(

1) "Nihilism is Nothing to Worry About" - 1986
2) "Von" - Sigur Ros
3) "The Burning Circle and Then Dust" - Lycia
4) "Floodland" - Sisters of Mercy
5) "Legion of Boom" - The Crystal Method

I had to go to my dusty Rateyourmusic.com account to dig out some of these! :o
Now that I think of it, most of the aberrations I blocked out were either indie albums people at college wouldn't shut up about, or bad synthy music I picked up during my short-lived goth phase

I don't listen to albums where I don't like the band to be honest. There are many albums that I feel are way overhyped though.

Arcade Fire - Funeral
Never got the appeal for this one. Honestly. If I wanted Neutral Milk Hotel Jr. I would have asked.

I agree. Most bands, I will check out on YouTube or sample them via iTunes or Amazon..if they sound bad, I stay away.

1) "Soup" Blind Melon
2) "4:13 Dream" The Cure
3) "A Thousand Suns" Linkin Park
4) "Eat Me, Drink Me" Marilyn Manson
5) "Pablo Honey" Radiohead

I have to like these albums at least a little bit considering I own them, but these are the least frequented in my CD player (off the top of my head).

A few that come to mind

Absolution by Muse
Minutes to Midnight by Linkin Park
Believe by Disturbed
Issues by Korn
Ballbreaker by AC/DC

Ones I can't believe people have mentioned in here:
The Cure - 4:13 Dream
Marilyn Manson - Eat Me, Drink Me
Nirvana - Nevermind
Smashing Pumpkins - Zeitgeist
Porcupine Tree - The Incident

They're all great albums, in my opinion.

I can't think of an album I own that is particularly bad, to be honest. There might be a few that are kind of average, but I can't think of any right now. I used to own a few duds, but they've been sold over the years and I'm not going to own up to them now ;)

Not sure what my answer would be. I tried to start a list and I couldn't think of 5 that stood out as bad over the rest, maybe one or two.

I noticed Pablo Honey was mentioned. I do think it's one of Radiohead's weaker albums but I actually like it better than Hail to the Thief and The King of Limbs (especially this last one).

I really haven't listened to any terrible albums by choice but I have in my friend's car. :sigh
The only one that comes to mind is We Are the In Crowd- Best Intentions.

Here's a little sample from the album for you all.

I love Soup and Pablo Honey!

The Duke is my favorite Blind Melon song, and Blow Out is one of my favorite RH songs.

Ok, I've had a think and these are possibly the worst albums I still own:

The Offspring - Ixnay on the Hombre
Porcupine Tree - On The Sunday of Life
Zwan - Mary Star of the Sea
Irreversible - Light

I like not to really count On The Sunday of Life as an album, but I'll put it down anyway. The Irreversible album is pretty terrible, but thankfully it was a free download, so I didn't waste any money on it.
The Offspring and Zwan albums are ok I suppose, but still worse than anything else I own. Couldn't really think of a 5th.

You own many of the albums I also do and that's the worst you could come up with? ;).

Yes 8-) On The Sunday of Life has several weak tracks and Zwan is an ok album but there's nothing special about it.

Zeitgeist is a great rock album, albeit with poor production/mixing. The Incident isn't one of PT's best, but it's still a very strong album.

Nevermind is a great album, it manages to rock quite hard in spite of the pop production Butcher Vig insists on putting on everything he touches.

So there :p

@Epitome

Ixnay and Nevermind? NOOOOOOO!!!

But seriously, Ixnay isn't even the worst Offspring album. *cough*Splinter*cough*

Having the compressed-to-death Nevermind re-issue there maybe is more to Vigs glam production than once, but it still sucks :D .

Trust me, it will work.

Wow - this is tough! I usually don't buy something if it's crap and now with the dearth of itunes you get sucked into the "ala carte" type purchasing...

I have to really think about this.
