Dubstep. I fucking hate dubstep.

In my area, "mc-ing" is very popular amongst the screbs and shits. And by that, i dont mean rap. I mean donk. Listen to blackout crew. Vomit everywhere.

Chart pop. The fact that adele has just gotnahead of thriller to be the UK's fifth best selling album of all time is depressing.

That song was intended to insult and piss-off critic Robert Christgau who hated SY in the early 80s (but praised them in late 90s, that slimey hypocrite).
It worked.
To me it is an essential hardcore classic, to you total crap.
But I can't believe you think it's worse than the German Schlager I posted

they're just on a different wavelength, I guess. sonic youth never has ever made even a little bit of sense to me.

Every song is the same, they could just switch and most country music fans wouldn't know the differences.

Don, I have never really gotten into Sonic Youth, but I would like to start listening to them. What two albums would suggest?

For their rock side you should try Sonic Nurse.
And for their experimental post rock side try A Thousand Leaves (my personal favourite).

Glass: An easy album to ease you into the noisier stuff is Goo. It's more alternative rock and easier listening than the majority of their stuff. Dirty isn't a bad choice either. And at some point don't forget to check out Daydream Nation. Incredible album. ^Don's got good choices too.

Yeah, Washing Machine is good too if you want to hear some of Sonic Youth's experimental stuff, and it's a bit more accessible than A Thousand Leaves in my opinion Everything after A Thousand Leaves is when they mellow out some, and although it's really good it's not as hard rocking as their earlier records

I'll get Sonic Youth : Sonic Nurse, but someone mentioned that Sonic Youth started making more mellow after A Thousand Leaves. I like Mellow Music, so which Mellow Album would you suggest? I have until the end of the month, I'll buy them for my Birthday!

i dont like dubstep. whenever im listening to it because its popular choice of whoever im with, im sitting there longing for metal guitar, guitar can sound almost like it. all dubstep songs are pretty much the same to me, just noise with low and high mixxing and then it drops. and i think the beat drop is suppose to make it cooler. every song drops too. its annoying.

country is country, im pretty sure 100% of the lyrics are written by fans or a group of song writers. and then they just fill in with some simple musical cookie cuts.

i hate the new indie/hipster tho. its like all these only children made it popular. they didnt have siblings to tell them that their music is sappy and weirdo music. idk. maybe its just that whenever im watching mtv, the music news is always about indie. and it just reminds me of all those young professionals being rich and pompous... its like indie cred makes idiots believe midiocre bands are actually great...
