The pickups are good but they are so one sided. Every song sounds the same. This one is no exception. Not an addict takes the blast from the past factor as well, so that's where my vote goes.

I agree about SSP, BUT, this song carries out their formula very well. One of the handful of songs that makes Swoon worth listening to. That album was hit or miss throughout, but "The Royal We" was a definite hit in my opinion.

The K's Choice was not bad actually. But I prefer the Silversun Pickups one. Not one of my favorite songs, but I always thought it was pretty good. I gave the first one a chance and would have voted for it if I liked it better, but I'm gonna have to go with Silversun Pickups.

Even given the formulaic nature of the Silversun Pickups song it was still better than the K's Choice song.

Not an Addict was a bare essential that got me through a dark time some years back. It certainly has a definitive sound to it. I liked the Siliversun Pickups track, but don't really feel I need to hear it again.

Not an Addict kinda gets on my nerves so I'm going with SSP.
You're obliged to pretend respect for people and institutions you think absurd. You live attached in a cowardly fashion to moral and social conventions you despise, condemn, and know lack all foundation. It is that permanent contradiction between your ideas and desires and all the dead formalities...

I heard of K's Choice like back in 2004 but never really gave them a listen. Maybe I should have, because then I could have hit it off better with this girl I knew who really liked them. But then again, she was one of those protest-for-the-sake-of-protesting people, who hung out at the co-op and thought it was cool to be a radical socialist. Forget her, I'll just take the music :p
