Oh wow, Three Days is absolutely incredible, but it's still the same problem as Summertime Rolls, I've just heard it too damn much. It's still a damn fucking great song, but it doesn't excite me anymore. Going with Metric.

Nice job Metric.

But Three Days is my favorite Jane's Addiction song. Classic.

I'm not a huge Jane's fan, and I get the criticism that it's a "safe" choice. But it's just hands down the better song. Not even a contest.

I liked this Jane's Addiction a little bit more than the last one but the Metric one still grabs me more. I don't know what it is, I guess I'm one of the only people who doesn't love Jane's Addiction. I'm going with Metric again.

i liked this Metric song better, but that Jane's Addiction song kills it by quite a bit so i voted Jane's Addiction.

Tied again at 4 - 4. This is ridiculous. Somebody break this tie, please. :D

Neither song wowed me, but I went with Metric because it was a more ballsy song to submit to a bunch of TSP fans. I just have never been able to get into Jane's Addiction but I had never heard of Metric before the MTC.

FINALLY a winner! Metric takes the tiebreaker 6 - 4.

So 10th place goes to DON. And our 2 previous champions are both eliminated in back to back turns.

Don's choices:

Beardfish - Roulette (loss)
Centrozoon - Little Boy Smile (win)
Jane's Addiction - Summertime Rolls (tie)
Jane's Addiction - Three Days (loss)

I'm surprised that my most unknown song had the only win.
Black Sabbath would have been next :D

Wow, I have to say I'm surprised. I know I personally preferred Metric over Jane's Addiction, but it seemed like so many people were passionate about how great Jane's Addiction was or at least compared to Metric, that I expected to see Jane's Addiction winning (or another tie lol).

Well fought Don, it seems like things for this round went down to the wire. Better luck next time!

Good run Don, and I'm curious, what Sabbath song were you gonna choose? I chose "Hole In The Sky" during first MTC and it got blown out of the water.

Not a bad choice considering that it's probably their most solid album. My opinion on that is constantly switching between MoR, SBS, and Sabotage. Such a great band!

Great to see another Sabbath buff :) .
For me it's just the Ozzy years, couldn't really get into Dio at all.
MOR is their most solid album indeed, it sounds like one 35-minute song and I love the heavy sond of it.
Yeah, SBS and Sabotage are milestones, that's where they started playing terrific prog rock.
I would also throw in Vol. 4...maybe there are two fillers (St. Vitus Dance and Tomorrow's Dream) but also some of their very best songs and the obvious transition into sth bigger.
They only album I feel that is very overrated is Paranoid...I really can't get too much out of it except War Pigs, Hand Of Doom and Planet Caravan.
I wonder what you think of their last Ozzy albums Technical Ecstasy and Never Say Die!.

Maybe it's time for a Sabbath thread soon :yay

YES to the Sabbath Thread!

I feel their debut is more overrated than Paranoid as I don't think it holds a candle to their releases from album 2-6.

As for their last two albums imo---

Technical Ecstacy - Better than your average metal album
Never Say Die! - about the same as your average metal album, although the synths were interesting, like Johnny Blade
