I think the side menu looks nice, it's sleek and modern looking.

It makes me think about Adore period, 13 years ago...
Black is unfortunately in fashion actually, but in fact it is even not a color.
The SP make alternative music, so choose alternative colors please.

Am I the only one who always has a horizontal scrollbar being displayed no matter what page I'm on? (looks like it has something to do with the ja-headermask div...).

when I tried to make a blog post the other day, using a mini-laptop, I had a scroll bar that seemed to prevent the posting. my screen was so small I couldn't be sure though.

1280x800 on one box, 1440x900 on the other. Happens in Firefox 3.5.8, Chrome 4, and IE8.
It's not a huge amount of scrolling. At 1024x768, there's an extra 25 pixels off the right side of the screen. As the resolution gets larger, that 25 pixels shrinks down until it hits 0 (which is at a resolution somewhere around 1600px wide).

This has been a problem for awhile (even before the site makeover, etc), but when I log in, sometimes if i go to another page on the site, I'm suddenly logged off. It still says I'm online on the online users box, but I'm pretty much logged off without me pressing logout.

Are you possibly going from a page at thepumpkins.net to a page at www.thepumpkins.net (or vice versa)? The site's cookie treats them as two separate domains, so you could be logged into one and not the other (even though they're really the same site).

When trying to access a page that begins with www. it should now remove it automatically.
