i on the other hand unfortunately will be working all Halloween weekend pretty much all day both days.

I have a new idea for a thread. An album review thread where we take albums we recently purchased and we give reviews on them, and recommend them to others or not. Would anybody be interested?

Go for it, as long as we keep it on topic about actual album reviews. I could see a lot of these new threads we've been making melding into one just "music you should listen to" thread otherwise.

By the way, I know how much some of you are against facebook and twitter and those things, but now would be a good time to sign up if for no other reason to help in the campaign to get EMI to release some type of Gish boxed set/anniversary edition next year. There is a lot going on on both facebook and twitter for this.

Watched a couple of 60s and 70s horror movies lately (Night of the living dead, The exorcist, Dawn of the dead, Last house on the left...) and they really impressed me.
The filmmakers actually had something like IDEAS 30-40 years ago...wouldn't it be great to have some more fresh ideas on screen nowadays?
Last surprisingly brilliant movies I watched at cinema were Men who stare at goats and Drag me to hell, but all the really hyped ones turned out to be crap.
Nevermind, I'm going to grab some more oldies then...
