I've seen a couple of episodes of Seinfeld, and didn't really laugh. I really like Curb Your Enthusiasm though.

Rating my top TV shows is hard, because drama shows with story arcs are difficult to put up alongside half-hour comedies. But if I just put my top comedies together, it'd look something like:

1. The Office (US)
2. Extras
3. Frasier
4. Arrested Development
5. Modern Family / 30 Rock / Blackadder

And then dramas that I have seen the entirety of:

1. The Shield
2. Freaks and Geeks
3. Twin Peaks
4. Band of Brothers
5. The Wire

Of course there are other drama series that haven't finished yet or I'm still in the process of watching, e.g. The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Dexter... If anyone is going to mention stuff that happens in shows like those, please put a spoiler thing up!

I absolutely loved Lost, until the final season.

Surely everyone is forgetting The X-Files - the greatest show ever made!

I prefer X-Factor with Jonathan Frakes...off the Picard's enterprise into the kindergarten horror :D :D :D .
Hilarious how he always announced that show: "Did you believe in that story? Could this be true? Yes?" :D :D :D

...My five all time favorite TV shows

Seinfeld

hmmm..

Well, I have exceptions to every rule. I love Seinfeld, not because of how great it is but I also associate it with other times in my life and the show means something to me because of what it reminds me of.

I guess Seinfeld isn't current anymore, it is on TV yes, but with something like The Hangover that people just don't shut up about (at the time) it just is different. I can't really explain it. Yes Rivers, I see the contradictions. That's just the way the cookie crumbles. :)

Seinfeld is my #1 show, and in my opinion the funniest show that ever existed. But I totally get the people that don't think it's very funny, I can see where they're coming from.

Also this.

I liked that show too, it was called "Beyond Belief" here in the States...I loved those creepy optical illusions at the beginning of each episode, and how it managed to be all spooky and gimmicky all at the same time :D

I loved the X-files too! Though after the movie came out, it just wasn't as good anymore, and the alien stuff kind of faded out into loose ends, and then Mulder left, and they had this lame-o supersoldier story arc with Xena...but you could always depend on the weird-looking alien bounty hunter guy to be there, that guy was funny...

I've never seen The X Files. :( I really want to get the boxset. The other week I did get The Outer Limits on DVD though...it's like a sci-fi anthology series (along the lines of The Twilight Zone)...from 1963-1965. What I've seen so far is surprisingly atmospheric, and some of the set-ups for the episodes are really cool sci-fi concepts.

And the special effects look like this:

The "monster of the week" episodes were always the best anyway, I think. Series 8 and 9 weren't as good, and didn't have much Mulder, but still better than almost anything else on TV :D

I haven't even heard that on the news. Not that it makes much difference to anything.

I don't buy it. I have not read any news or watched any video of it (as I just woke up and this is what everyone is talking about) so maybe I don't have the entire story. It just seems out of know where they catch this old man, who they couldn't catch for years and now Obama gets to be remembered as the president who took down the "9/11 terrorist" it is all too convenient. Then they kill him, or whatever happened, then they just flush him out to sea?

fucking disgusting. This is a hell of a day for America. I say if you don't get it, then GTFO.

And Epitome, why are you rolling your eyes? This is a huge deal for Americans. But I suppose you just had to be there when 3,000 people died.

Surreal.

Seems like yesterday I was getting ready for high school when I heard 9/11 happened.

i remember 9/11, you could see the smoke from my house. it was really confusing for me as an 8 year old, and i still have a hard time grasping what really happened.
