@Don: Wow, that's sweet man! I've always been interested in human behavioral studies, plus I can kinda relate to that sort of stuff. You should finish the book, I'd buy it! :)

I'm thinking of buying a guitar. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Nothing too expensive.

Or just get a Squier or Epiphone, which will be a lot cheaper.

I've been in and out of this site for the last few months, but I think I'm back now, at least until my Oceania excitement dies down. I'm sure you all have missed my perverse and sarcastic comments.

Now real guitarists are probably gonna throw tomatoes at me, but I'm an amateur player and I thought this kit was pretty good for a beginner. It's the only guitar I own incidentally lol. I'm glad I ended up with the sunburst, because I feel it's the best one out of the limited collection: www.guitarcenter.com/Fender-SE-Special-S...04486238-i1177837.gc

Random thought. I was just watching an old episode of Criminal Minds and they were playing "Sympathy for The Devil" by The Rolling Stones and it sounded sort of familiar:

I thought it sounded a lot like a Doves song and then I figured out which song I thought it sounded like. "Eleven Miles Out", which is a b-side. Does this song sound influenced by "Sympathy for the Devil" or am I imagining things?:

But squiers and epiphones aren't the real deal! :p

About damn time you're back Ryon, I'd like to remind you I still haven't made a thread yet. Let's go Oceania release! ;)

Have you been busy with college work or something?

On a side note: The park was pretty fucking busy for opening weekend, also, on the first day, some asshole forgot to give me a lunch break so I was on the fuckin Red Hot from 9:00 - 3:15 before I got my goddamn lunch! :mad

A good steel-string Fender or Yamaha Dreadnought sells for $200-$300, I find they have a deep, rich tone and a very good sound for their price. I find I use my Yamaha FG730S far more often than my 4x more expensive Martins and Taylors, it's sound is just so wonderful for strumming.

If it's an electric you're after, I can only recommend a Fender Fat Strat.

Well next time you leave for awhile Ryon, at least give a temporary farewell! I was afraid that with all that crazy bondage stuff you're into, you may have met up with someone a bit crazier than you! :p Good to have you back though man.

I know I started a top 25 personal favorite albums blog on here about a year ago and I never finished it. Looking back at what I had chosen though, my list has changed quite a bit so I've been thinking about restarting. This time though, I won't write as much so hopefully I'll be able to finish it.

It's a shame when any band that's been together for a long time breaks up. :(
I had just gotten into their album The Mollusk too.

And that my friends is why I'm a fan of Mr Corgan and Smashing Pumpkins in the first place. He is still the beautiful man that he was in 1995.

Well guess what? My vision hasn't gotten any worse. Big fuckin surprise.

I did go to the pawn shop after though and they were having a sale so I got 4 albums for 4 bucks! Can't beat that!:

INXS - Welcome to Wherever You Are
Lush - Lovelife
Third Eye Blind - S/T
Blues Traveler - S/T

So I'll be set musically for a little while. I decided to skip school today just because I don't feel like going. (and because I have music to listen to!) It's only gonna be review for finals which I can do at home. lol
