No, I don't know of any full songs, but the first single is due on July 16th or something, so not too long to wait for that. I guess it's too much to hope for b-sides? :p

Yeah I definitely wouldn't hold your breath for b-sides! Just hope that the three main albums are good and don't contain fluff! Don't get ahead of yourself epitome! ;)

Anyone buy the Skyrim DLC "Dawnguard"?

No matter what you think but I have the feeling that the 90s used to be the best time we witnessed.
The cold war had ended and our current post 9/11 era of fear, consipracy and pointlessness had to come.

Yeah I agree on all counts. The 2000's sucked majorly, they just felt like an extension of the 90's, but with crappy music, mindless internet fad bullshit, and slicker CGI effects.

I wish I could feel that way.
I'm not an US American but I really think 9/11 was the biggest break in history of our time and started a new and darker era.

Don't forget that the U.S. also had Clinton as president back then.

A president who was scrutinized for trying to get laid. This country needs to lighten up.

@Venison: I don't think the 2000s has crappier music. Not really anyway. Maybe in the mainstream, but there is PLENTY of kickass music being released all the time in the 2000s, it's just usually not in the mainstream. In the late 90s for mainstream, there was Britney Spears, boy bands, and you can't forget the post-grunge/shit bands like Creed and Nickelback and countless other wannabes.

I actually listen to more bands now than I did in the 90s (although that does include many that started in the 90s) and a lot of my favourite albums now are from post-90s... but I do think the 90s had the best general sound for rock music. Today, even if the album is still good, it's rare to find a rock album that has any kind of raw power or rough edges, which is a shame.

I have noticed a few albums over the last couple of years seem to have reverted to a grittier sound though, so there's still hope.

I know a few with a raw gritty sound.

To The Bones - Duke Type A
Zico Chain - The Zico Chain EP
Pulled Apart by Horses - Pulled Apart by Horses
Effluence
Dz Deathrays - Bloodstreams
The Eighties Matchbox B-line Disaster - Horse of the Dog
Kong (british Kong on Brew Records. Theres a few bands called Kong)
Part Chimp - Thriller
Pissed Jeans

They are all raw bands. Mostly all with 90's influences

I agree, I was referring more to popular culture, but with 9/11 and the Bush presidency, the political world really went down the toilet. I also take your point kjrain, it was more mainstream music that sucked rather than music period.

Was it you that put a To The Bones song in one of the taste championships? I really liked that. Sun Dial's last album was very raw, sounded very 1993 :)

Made up my mind about my favourite songs of all time today.
The strange thing is, Friends & Lovers would beat In My Body as my favourite BC song.
Maybe I'll leak the full list soon ;) .
A song by our dear Ryon is also featured!

Hope to see some Black Sabbath there Don! :)

@Epitome: There's not a ton of them, but there's at least a fair share of bluesy-garage rock bands doing stuff in the underground. Take for example the Ty Segall band and their new album Slaughterhouse that just got released recently. You can always find bands making the music you want to hear, you just have to look hard. I'm sure theres even underground disco bands out there somewhere. ;)

And yes, the new Fiona Apple kicks ass!
