Quiet frankly i am shoked that pumkpins fans would fall for the alure of pop music. I am sickened and sadened. Billy would cry if he heard a fan bought a fall out boy album

I was at a friends house and some girls came over, and they turned it to Ellen degenres (spelling?) cause Fall out boy was gonna be on. I didn't understand it, musically it was boring and the singer wasn't very good at all. But apparently it "wasn't their best song."

MCR has good ideas in their music though. They don't follow norms and things, and they experiment. Althought I don't find their music appealing, you really can't say they suck because they're "one of those lame bands everyone likes".

They suck because they dont have a large amount of variety or musical ability, i dont know how popular they are, i stopped watching video shows when rap took over.

these newish bands, are probly legitimate, if you never heared the full album you cant say theyre horrible, like, just because theyre not brave enough NOT to make a catchy-pop song for theyre single, doesnt mean you should right em off,

ps that mcr song, with the war video, is the catchiest thing ive ever heared, i sing it, "never comin home, never comin home, neverrrr... and all the things that you never ever told me" or something like that, i swear, the only thing stoping anyone from singing that song, is just that its a "boy band" performing it

I'm not a fan of MCR because I haven't heard enough of their music to judge them one way or the other - BUT I will say I agree with yteah on this point...that was one of the best songs I've heard in a while. Maybe it's the lack of bands like SP that make us go to such measures for musical satisfaction. Who knows? I'm not ashamed to say I like that song though. "Never coming home, Never comin' home!!!"

i hate most new bands today, but i recently checked out a band called the subways there featured on the pumpkins myspace page, there pretty good but it's very rare i like new bands.

The problem I have with most new music is that it all sounds identical, especially the singers. You either have the gruff Nirvana voice like Nickelback, or you have the nasaly sound that brings to mind Junior High School.

That... was... beautiful *sniff*. I really agree.
Fallout Boy is a cookie cutter version of Simple Plan, Jimmy Eat World, and Bowling For Soup. Arrgh, and I forget the others.
