The new Red Hot Chili Peppers record. I haven't been a hardcore fan for quite a few years (in fact I haven't even listened to a full record of theirs in years) but this one has got me hooked. There are some well written melodic songs on this record. It is the only album I have ever come across that the front half of the album is so-so but the end half is excellent.

I think this song may be their new hit if they choose to release it as a single. I love the vocal melody, and it scores a 10 in my book if only for the fact it uses both of my 2 favorite chord progressions ever. (One of them was used in Cherub Rock and Rocket

)

What do you guys think of this song? Nothing groundbreaking of course, but still a beautiful song to relax to. Also kudos to Anthony Kiedis for not dribbling his baby words all over it, there are great lyrics here with great imagery. "Receding into the forest I will lay around /in wait - I will wait for you."
