muse is better than the smashing pumpkins. i hate to say it but the current smashing pumpkins are worse than muse is. i still like old pumpkins stuff more though....listen to map of the problematique- it is insane!

They kick ass live, that's for sure.

It's not really a band, HMM, I used to play drums myself, but I started doing my own thing on guitar, so it was kind of necessary to find someone else who played drums...

And YES I definitely need another guitarist,
a) because I'm no good at lead guitar/soloing/improvising and
b) because songs like song 2 really need two guitarists, otherwise it's impossible to get it to sound like it's supposed to.

Muse is a great band. I still like Pumpkins better though.

Seriously- get Black Holes and Revelations or Origin of Symmetry- every song is amazing! also listen to the live CD HAARP- it is intense

If you like the emotional side of music, try Ben Kamen.

He's a local artist from my town, and his stuff is just fantastic! I've been to many shows, and him and I have hung out a few times. It's a nice feeling hanging out with an artist whose music you adore. I no longer have the jittery shakes when I speak to artists!
