Yellowstone or nuclear war will kill us off before the Sun dies, in my opinion.

Nuclear war would be unlikely to kill everyone. Even a really big war. Much more likely we'll at least be left with an outcome like one of those apocalyptic movies or video games where groups of survivors will battle it out with each other for supremacy :)

Nuclear winter, buddy. Wouldn't end well with anybody. We don't all have to get bombed to be screwed.

I'm not talking one country nuking another, either. I'm talking about the all-out hail mary play.

this conversation reminds me of this one time they were discussing nuclear war and atomic bombs or something in this really crappy American History class i had to take in high school and some weird kid in the class said that if nuclear war ever happened he would just grab his "box of knives" and run up to Canada.

I still doubt it would kill everyone on earth. I think we have to wait for the sun to implode for that to happen, but I suppose none of us will ever know. Which I actually find a bit annoying, really :sigh

If it is scientifically proven that some day the sun will implode, then you know it will happen. What you won't know when you die, is when it will happen.

Yes. But I won't know for sure that that is what wipes out humanity, as I suppose something else could do it before then, in theory.

Well, I wouldn't rule out the ducks. I mean, all that quacking must mean something. I don't trust it.

And don't believe it when people tell you their quacks don't echo - I was once trapped in a cave by a duck and that reverberating, maniacal quack haunts me to this day.
