You're obliged to pretend respect for people and institutions you think absurd. You live attached in a cowardly fashion to moral and social conventions you despise, condemn, and know lack all foundation. It is that permanent contradiction between your ideas and desires and all the dead formalities...

I do think that is one thing a lot of people don't consider about gambling. They see it purely as a waste of money. But then they'll happily pay to see a movie or a show of some kind. Gambling is just the same, you pay for fun. And there's a chance you actually make money rather than pay. Still, you do have to be careful that you don't lose too much...

But a movie is like $7.50 for two plus hours of fun. $7 in a casino might last you two seconds.

The movies was just an example. I just mean that if you're gambling for fun then you're paying to indulge in a pastime, just like most people do with other pastimes.
It's when you get addicted and can't stop, can't limit how much you risk, or when you're only gambling because you're desperate to win some money for some reason, that's when things are likely to get serious. Personally, if someone has the money to spend and they prefer to spend time in a casino rather than somewhere else, then good for them. People have worse pastimes than that.

Yeah. Just when people complain about not having money but waste it on gambling, it's like, well duhhhhh.

too bad no one else likes gambling, i guess it takes a perfect storm. lol. when i first played roulette i turned 10 into 344, just wanted to try. 17-1 chance id like it, lol i only bet 13 for my bday and 10 for my brothers, it hit 10 for 180.

i put a purple (500) chip on 2nd 12. it was so awesome when the little ball had that extra push to go into my hit number. ive only done that once, and it was on winnings, but it was the fastest grand ive ever made. and the biggest most intense bet ive ever done.

When I was younger I was big into Offspring, Linkin Park, and...that's about it. Ahh...much simpler times. :)

The first Offspring album is great, the rest is garbage.

I feel like you're being sarcastic with that wink, but Americana would be my third favourite. Very good album.

I am being sarcastic, because I feel like the gates of all mighty hell will open up if I start to praise that album. Actually it's the only Offspring album I own, but I only like selected tracks on it. Off the top of my head, the last two songs are good, and The Kids Aren't Alright :)

Hmmm... tracks 2 and 3 might be my favourites. The only one I don't really like is that cover of Feelings.
