The Moon soundtrack is really good. Works really well with the movie, and it's good to listen to by itself, as something to chill out to.

Yay! Movie scores!

Clint Mansell is fantastic. The Moon soundtrack is very good, but his work on The Fountain is absolutely stunning; probably my favourite score of all-time...

...Except it's maybe tied with Howard Shore's scores for the Lord of the Rings movies.

Thomas Newman conjures up some incredible beauty too.

Hans Zimmer has some good stuff, but for the most part I feel his scores are very samey. The big horn blasts in Inception were memorable, but I didn't think much else of that particular score was.

I never listen to Hans Zimmer's scores regularly, but I know what you mean about them being samey. I thought I even heard similarities between the Titanic song and the theme from True Romance!

I didn't listen to those videos (especially anything with The Fountain in the title:dead ) but I'm pretty sure Lord of The Rings ripped off Clint Mansell and not the other way around.

?

Nobody ripped off anyone. A remix of a track from Clint Mansell's Requiem for a Dream score was used in a trailer for The Two Towers.

I also have The Mummy soundtrack, which is good

I'll have to check out some other Clint Mansell soundtracks. I have a friend who really likes them all too.
