Tickets go on sale in a couple hours for the chicago dates. i'm thinking i should just go for the presale. do you just have to use an american express? or does it have to be a certain type of american express?

who's buying chicago tickets? and which show(s) are you planning on going to?

I think the pre-sale is for American Express Gold Members only. But if it's just a password, it might be 'glow' as that's what was for the Massey Hall shows apparently (but that was for AEG Live, not AMEX).

I was hoping to get tickets to the Wednesday show at Chicago Theatre and the Friday show at Auditorium Theatre (so I could go to a show at both venues, and have a different setlist-they talked about 'sunshine' versus 'crosses' shows on SP.com).

And nope 'glow' is definitely not the password. I guess any of us without Amex are screwed unless there are tickets left for the general sale next week.

There should still be tickets left. DC shows still have tickets and their presale was 9/23. Amex password is the phone number on the back of the amex card, but giving it out would be pointless as you need to buy the tickets with an amex card.

I used my AmexBlue and got two tickets, one for Wednesday (1st row in 2L) and then another on Friday (7th row Orchestra)! I'm so glad I didn't buy the VIP ticket package.

turns out, it is any amex card. for the vip tickets, you need an amex gold card.

I caved and bought a third for the opening night. Wow.

damn it,, looks like i"m buying two vip tickets for tuesday and wednesday since the front rows will be gone by next monday... anyone buy the two ticket package and find out what three songs are unreleased?

they're not selling front row tickets in the presale. ticket master sets aside a group of so-many tickets for the presale, and once they're gone, the presale is done, then the rest (the majority) of tickets sell during general onsale. either way, unless you get the $300 vip tickets, you're probably not gonna get the front row.

and the two ticket package hasn't gone on sale yet. what are you talking about: three unreleased songs?

God three nights, and I'm still debating that fourth one on Saturday. I'm glad I didn't do the VIP thing, as I'd pay more money for just one night.
